“I’m a single mom of a 5-year-old girl. She is currently under the care of my parents in the Philippines since I’m working here in Hong Kong. My mother worked in the United States for 11 years and had filed for an immigrant visa. Now she’s waiting in the Philippines for the processing because her papers got qualified. In this case, can she adopt my child and eventually take my child to the U.S. with her?”
