H2-B Visa Extension Request

I am currently working as an H-2B here in Utah. I’ve heard about the issue that the Philippines is banned from getting H-2B. However, I am requesting an extension because my visa ends this year. Most in my company who are supposed to extend visas are refusing Filipinos and sending them back home. Will my extension request be affected?
