GOP’s Raise Act affecting immigrant families

The GOP’s new immigration bill proposal, Raise Act, threatens to limit family-based petitions to only spouses and minor children, possibly impacting thousands of existing petitions if succesfully passed into law. It runs afoul to the policy of U.S. immigration which is all about family unity, and to the U.S. identity as a nation of immigrants.
